Es kann bereits gesagt werden, dass der Klimawandel eine der Ursachen für einige Konflikte war, wie z. B. in Ruanda oder Syrien. In einer Welt, die unter all den im Spiel beschriebenen Folgen leidet, ist es schwer vorstellbar, dass bewaffnete Konflikte vermieden werden können. Als der IPCC im Jahr 2007 den Friedensnobelpreis erhielt, war dies der Friedensnobelpreis, und dafür gibt es sehr gute Gründe.

Although conflicts may occur because of resources, they are not directly caused by climate change, rather by resource depletion or scarcity. The relationship can be made, but it is due more to politics than to the climate crisis.
